Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine to join an Intrepid trip in Albany?

Trips from 1 January 2023 onwards

From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travelers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises). How to get to Albany

Albany Regional Airport is located 6.8 miles from downtown Albany. If you would prefer to travel by road, the bus trip from Perth to Albany takes just under 7 hours. Driving from Perth is slightly quicker and takes between four and five hours depending on traffic and how many times you stop along the way.

Getting around in Albany

A hire car is your best option for getting around Albany. However, a public bus service and taxis are also available.

When should I visit Albany?

Any time of year is a good time to visit Albany as you'll find pleasant weather throughout most of the year. Summer is hot and perfect for swimming. Spring and Autumn are cooler and the winter months are perfect for walking in the National Park.

What should I pack for Albany?

Albany is a laid-back destination so pack casual clothes such as active wear for enjoying the national park, casual dresses, jeans, shorts and t-shirts. This accord promises to educate about the loss and devastation suffered by the Aboriginal community at the hands of the first European settlers to the area, as well as recognize the spiritual and cultural connection the Minang/Menang Noongar peoples have to both land and sea.
