Portuguese Camino

My first trip with Intrepid was a fantastic experience. The group was very friendly and consisted of people all around the world. Of special note was our exceptional guide Mariela. Her energy, organization and thoughtfulness made the tour an amazing experience.

Portuguese Camino

Highly recommend this trip and our leader, Mariela! I learned so much and loved the beautiful scenery, delicious food, and welcoming spirit of the Galician people. Two highlights for me were meeting a hermit monk at a retreat center along The Way and attending a Galician folk festival. The trip was challenging but well-paced and planned. Every detail was thought of. I had one minor problem (not because of Intrepid) and Mariela quickly helped me with it. She’s a treasure and I’d definitely book another trip with Intrepid in the future, especially if Mariela led it. I felt safe, care for, and part of the group, even though I came alone. You will not regret walking The Way.

Hike the Rota Vicentina in Portugal

Philippa · Traveled May 2023
This is an amazing hike along the coast of Portugal. The “Rota” is wild and beautiful. The going is tough at times but the scenery and delicious seafood make it all worthwhile. We visited lovely seaside villages and stayed in some great places along the way. If you love the sea this is a must do trip.
