Port wine in Porto, Portugal? Say that three times fast

Porto is like Lisbon’s younger, more laidback sibling but still packed with history, red-tiled rooftops and of course, port wine. Cruise down the Douro
Porto sits right on the riverbank of the Douro River – cruise along its banks to take in the city from a new view and pass by terraced vineyards and the riverside village of Pinhao. This region is a heaven for wine lovers and you’ll soon see why.

One thing you’ll notice about Portugal is its tiles – in churches, buildings and public spaces throughout the country, you’ll see iconic colorful ceramic tiles that hold centuries of tradition. Painting your very own makes for a great souvenir.  
Drink port wine in Porto
Where better to sip on a sweet glass of port wine than in its birthplace? Walk along the banks of the River Douro and visit wineries known for their dessert wines – you can’t spell Portugal without port!
