Ireland Tours & Vacations

The Emerald Isle: where the rhythm is slower, the people are warmer, the spirit is fuller, and the earth is richer.

Irish hospitality may be a cliché – right up there with leprechauns and kissing the Blarney Stone – but when you take a tour in Ireland (whether that's in Galway or down South) you realize that this enchanting republic revels in its old-school approach to life. Connemara really is as brooding and lonely as we’ve been led to believe. The Dublin of James Joyce still lingers on in odd pockets of the city. The Guinness really is that good. If you want to enjoy your holiday, it’s best to leave your cynicism at the door and grab Ireland with both hands: learn the folklore of Roscommon and Donegal, road trip your way along the south's coastline, go searching for faeries in Knocknerea Mountain, moan about the inclement weather and (above all) embrace the craic.

Northern & Southern Ireland

Very well organized, busy trip. We got to see so much more than is listed and learned a lot about Irish history. Nick was a great leader and so much fun!

Northern & Southern Ireland

Christopher · Traveled August 2023
This trip was very enjoyable primarily due to our tour guide and the people we met along the way. This tour is good for those looking for physical activity (a lot of walking, inclines and steps). If you're looking for a turnkey trip, this isn't for you.

Walk the Wicklow Way

Karl · Traveled July 2023
My wife and I had a terrific time on the Walk the Wicklow tour. Ciaran, our guide, was amazing. His knowledge of geology, plants, trees and history made for very interesting conversations along the trail and at at meal times. The distance hiked each day was appropriate for our group and felt rewarding each day to reach our destination. I ate well, slept well, had lots of exercise, fresh air and great company. Super vacation.

Northern & Southern Ireland

Martin · Traveled June 2023
I have done around 10 trips with Intrepid and have never been disappointed. The safety of the group is a great consideration and have experienced no issues within the differing make up and age of the members. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the world from a local perspective to travel with Intrepid.

Ireland: Kilkenny & Surrounds

Martin · Traveled May 2023
Our trip to the Kilkenny area was a treat. Our guide, Fionnuala, was great - she provided just the right amount of historical information mixed with all local info we needed on pubs, restaurants, and local sites.
