Lithuania Tours & Vacations

As the first Soviet republic to declare its independence from the Soviet Union in 1990, this slice of fairy-tale Europe – replete with medieval castles and primeval forests – is just begging to be explored

Once the largest empire on the European continent, Lithuania’s history reads at times like a Game of Thrones episode and presents much for those looking to discover a new side of Europe. With architectural splendors spanning the gothic to renaissance to baroque to bohemian, a hearty national cuisine, and – would you believe it – a stunning stretch of sand dune coast, Lithuania bewitches all those who visit.

Cannot recommend this tour. The itinerary and inclusions are poor. The accommodation are often far from town centers. Most of our group had a poor experience. A lot of walking and hiking. The physicality rating of this tour is not accurate.

The tour has a good balance exploring old towns in cities and time in nature/national parks. A good level of included activities but still leaving you plenty of free time to explore independently. A great way to explore the Baltic countries.

Fabulous trip, with fabulous guides showcasing an intriguing part of Europe. A good mix of history and culture, with an itinerary with considerable free time, and a balance of light physical activity and a slower relaxed pace.

My father and I went on this trip because we wanted to travel to a location not often traveled to. We had some historical knowledge beforehand but this trip truly blew us away. Our guide, Ilona, was wonderful. She was full of information and made the entire trip so enjoyable. She was so passionate about her country and the entire area. Anybody interested in history and the struggle for freedom and independence should make this trip a priority.
