Active-ism: Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with Leah Thomas

Step into the awe-inspiring landscape of Yellowstone National Park on a purpose-driven adventure through one of the most ecologically and culturally significant places in the USA. Across the vibrant terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs and the powerful spray of Old Faithful, witness Yellowstone’s geothermal wonders and incredible wildlife – including bison, elk and perhaps even a glimpse of elusive wolves on a special tracking expedition.

Alongside the natural highlights, this trip dives into Yellowstone’s rich cultural and ecological significance, shining a light on its connection to the 27 Indigenous tribes who have long called this land home. Hosted by environmental author Leah Thomas, this journey offers the chance to connect with like-minded travelers, recharge in nature and turn awareness into meaningful action.

About the trip

This trip is part of our special Active-ism range, a series of adventures created for travelers who want to explore and help protect the USA’s national parks. The National Park Service is facing its largest ever budget cut, putting access, preservation and local communities that rely on tourism at risk.

We've partnered with Leah Thomas to give our Yellowstone & Grand Tetons Adventure trip an Active-ism twist, with the goal of helping travelers learn how to advocate for the parks' futures.
