From Zion and the Grand Canyon to Yellowstone National Park, you’ll visit some of the world’s most iconic landmarks and the country’s best hiking trails.
Hosted by prominent changemakers and guided by expert Intrepid leaders, these trips mix active adventure with activist-led discussions, offering a unique insight into the challenges facing the parks – and how to advocate for their future.
Active-ism: Zion & The Grand Canyon
Hosted by Wawa Gatheru and Alex Haraus, you’ll hike through the red sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park, walk the rim of the Grand Canyon and learn about the culture and history of Monument Valley during a Navajo guided tour.

Why Active-ism
The National Park Service is facing its largest ever budget cut, putting access and preservation of the USA’s natural areas and local communities that rely on tourism at risk. We wanted to create new trips to help travelers learn more about these challenges and how they can advocate for the parks’ future.
