Itinerary
Dobro Dosli! Welcome to Croatia. Your adventure begins at a hotel in Split at 2 pm, meeting a local representative and your fellow travellers, before transferring by private van to Trogir Marina. Your skipper will be waiting to meet you and welcome you on board your home for the next eight days. After your welcome meeting, set sail for Solta Island – known for its scenic countryside and excellent olive oil. When you arrive, you can choose to visit a family-run agrotourism estate in Maslinica. Sit down and enjoy a wine tasting paired with local food, while you learn about this village’s local agriculture.

Your skipper will collect the trip kitty of EUR 100 at the welcome meeting today.
If you have any special dietary requirements, please notify us at the time of booking so we can accommodate your requests.
If you are spending time in Split before the trip, we recommend meeting at Hotel Globo, and transferring with the group to the marina. We do recommend arriving a day or two early, as we set sail this afternoon and spend no time in Split.
If you are flying into Split on Day 1 and prefer to meet the group at the marina, please advise your booking agent at least 14 days prior to travel so that the group won’t be waiting for you at Hotel Globo. Please meet your skipper at Trogir Marina at 3 pm, approximately a 15 min drive from the airport. Our yacht will have an Intrepid flag and be moored next to the gas station within the marina.
The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day's itinerary. The itinerary is subject to change and may vary depending on weather. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.

After breakfast onboard, bid farewell to Solta and set sail to Vis – the furthest island from the mainland. On the way, you might stop in for a swim in a nearby sheltered bay. When you arrive, you can take an optional tour to learn about the island’s history – passing between Greek, Roman, Venetian, Napoleonic, Austrian and Italian hands. Visit nuclear fallout shelters, churches and vantage points with great views across the ocean. If you like, you can also take an optional winery tour and indulge in a few glasses of the local vino.

Today, you’ll make your way to Hvar. Along the way, you might stop at the Pakleni Islands or Stoncica for a swim. After arriving in Hvar, you can wander around the towns, home to some wonderfully preserved Renaissance facades. If you like, hike past dramatic jagged limestone cliffs and undulating farms, ancient olive groves and fields of rosemary and lavender. There’s also an option to cross the island by car to Hvar Town – often known as the ‘San Tropez of Croatia’.

Set sail to Lastovo, stopping around Lovista or Scedro for a morning swim. On the way, you’ll also explore some of the 46 islets and reefs around the island’s edges. Over 70 per cent of Lastovo is forested, making it the perfect place to stretch your legs after a day at sea. There's also Venetian architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries and many churches to find in your free time.

Sail through the jewel-like waters to Korcula this morning, stopping at Badija or Polace for a refreshing morning swim. Greeks settled in Korcula in the 6th century BC, but the town was also occupied by the Romans, Slavs and then the Venetians between 1420 and 1797. Even Napoleon was ruler for a while! As a result of all these influences, Korcula has a cosmopolitan Old Town. Alongside the idyllic beaches, you’ll have plenty of options for your free time. Ask your leader for the best dinner recommendations for a good feed.

This morning, you’ll sail for the island of Mljet, stopping for a swim along the way. Legendary in ancient history as the island where the shipwrecked Odysseus lived for seven years, today the island is a haven of lush national parks, forests and small villages. Since Greek sailors sought haven here from storms, the island has been inhabited by Illyrians, Romans, Slavs and Avars. In the 13th century the island was given to the Benedictine order who built a monastery in the middle of one of the island's western lakes – Veliko Jezero. When you arrive, maybe rent a bike and cycle through the national park. Tonight, you could try the local wine – the fields and vineyards that dot the island are the foundation of the local economy, with Mljet's villagers producing wine and olive oil as they have been for hundreds of years.

Depart Mljet and head to the hidden paradise of Elafiti Islands. Made up of three main islands – Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan – the olive groves, citrus trees and ancient ruins provide a scenic backdrop for lunch. Then, sail on to the marina near Komolac. You can then head into Dubrovnik for your final night with the group (there’s a regular bus service) or stay close and enjoy dinner and drinks at the marina.

Before you book you should know
- Our yachts have a small Zodiac on board, which is used to transport travellers to shore if we need to anchor in the bay. However, we will most often overnight in the small marinas on each island we visit, so the Zodiacs aren’t used. Zodiacs can sometimes be awkward to climb in and out of, but a sense of humour and a can-do attitude are all you need.
- This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be relatively compact, but you will spend most of your time above board in the open air.
- On your trip, the skipper will move the boat using the sails and motor; occasionally, they will need to use the motor for the whole trip. This choice is weather-dependent, so is unpredictable, but our expert skippers will keep you updated on any necessary itinerary changes. They love to sail and will raise the sails at every opportunity.

ACCOMMODATION ONBOARD THIS SAILING YACHT
This trip is accommodated entirely on board a 54ft monohull yacht. The following cabins are available to book on this yacht:
1 x triple bunk bed cabin
2 x twin bunk bed cabin
2 x double/twin cabin - bedding can be made up as either twin beds or one double bed.
If you are a couple and want a double bed, please book the double/twin cabin and let your sales agent know at time of booking that you would like a double bed. Solo passengers can choose to book a triple bed cabin or a twin bed cabin and will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender. If you prefer your own cabin a single supplement can be applied to all twin cabins for an additional cost. Everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms on board.
The yacht has 5 shared bathrooms. Our boats are real yachts, and this is a real sailing trip. Yachts are designed to keep sleeping areas to the absolute minimum of space, while maximising common areas as much as possible. While not everyone may feel entirely comfortable living in such close quarters, those who are looking to revel in the adventure and exhilaration of an authentic sailing trip usually find any discomfort from cramped living conditions is more than made up for by the whole experience.
HOT WEATHER:
Summer temperatures can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius, which can be uncomfortable for those not used to the heat. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.

Please provide full passport details at time of booking including exact name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, issue and expiry dates as these are essential for booking services on this trip.
TRIP KITTY:
On this trip it's compulsory to contribute to a kitty of EUR100 per person. The kitty is an on-ground payment put into a central fund managed by travellers. It helps fund for breakfast and lunch on the boat and other small items such as ice, water, snacks and drinks. Travellers are responsible for the preparation of these meals onboard and to shop at port where supermarkets are often very close to the mooring. Kitty amounts are subject to change to reflect local price increases. On day 1, the skipper will talk through the kitty and how it will be managed (by yourself or fellow travellers) The kitty will be collected when you arrive at the welcome meeting or in stages throughout your trip.
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a third-party. The "Add connection" feature shows transit visa requirements only and does not include full entry visa needs. Please note, additional service fees apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa.

Please note that the majority of our sailing trips start and/or finish at a marina or port. For most of our destinations, we can provide transfers between the airport/hotel and the port/marina. Please check the joining and finish point information in the trip notes for details.
ELECTRICITY:
While there should be electricity on board throughout your trip the voltage is likely to vary widely, from 12V to 220V, and when in port or moored we are dependent on the supply available. Please be aware that the supply may not be sufficient to power some electronic devices all the time and that you may need a voltage adapter or similar (such as portable inverter used in cars). On some trips it may be possible to charge devices ashore at restaurants or resorts, however this is not guaranteed.
WI-FI:
Please note that our sailing boats do not have Wi-Fi. You will be getting off the boat and visiting towns regularly so you will be able to connect with the outside world then.

Hotel Globo is located only a 15-minute walk to Diocletian’s palace and the rest of the famous old part of town. All rooms are air conditioned, and have a direct telephone line, Internet connection, mini-bar, safety deposit box, LCD TV with satellite programs, hair dryer, fire extinguishing safety system, as well as a coffee and tea making facilities.
Instructions
Hotel Globo is located only a 15-minute walk to Diocletian’s palace and the rest of the famous old part of town. The Split International Airport (airport code SPU) is 30 minutes by taxi from the hotel. You can take airport shuttle bus that is around 8 EUR to the main bus station. From the ferry terminal, main bus and train station you can walk about 25 minutes or take a bus line to the hotel. Taxi is on average 10 EUR.
If you have pre booked an arrival transfer from Split Airport (SPU), your transfer driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall holding a board with the Intrepid Logo or your name. In case of flight cancellations, flight changes, severe delays at immigration, baggage collection or customs, or if you are not able to find the driver, please contact the transfer operator directly: +385 99 360 5114 and +385 99 387 5710.
