Spot native wildlife, marvel at extraordinary coastal vistas and learn more about First Nations culture on this 6-day road trip along Victoria’s southern coastline. From taking the famous Pinnacle Walk to the summit of Hanging Rock to visiting a local conservation centre in Apollo Bay to learning about the Budj Bim Cultural Landscape with a Gunditijmara guide – this trip combines culture, nature and adventure. Following much of the Great Southern Touring Route, you’ll start in Melbourne and follow the coast to the 12 Apostles along The Great Ocean Road and discover the diverse landscapes and history of Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park before taking the iconic Overland train across the border to Adelaide. With an experienced local guide who knows all the best spots and a small group of like-minded adventurers – this is sure to be a road trip to remember.

This trip includes some long drives on winding roads. If you experience severe motion sickness this trip may not be suitable for you.
Some of the best scenery on this trip will be found on hikes. So, while this trip doesn't require a high level of fitness, it’s essential to be at least moderately fit if you want to partake in all activities. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes.

START & END TIME
This trip starts in Melbourne on day 1 at 8am. On the final day of this trip, you’ll bid goodbye to your group leader in Stawell and then you and your group will board The Overland train to Adelaide unaccompanied. The trip finishes in Adelaide on arrival at the train station at approximately 6pm. If you wish to finish your trip in Melbourne, please let us know at your time of booking, as there is the possibility for you to return to Melbourne with the leader (arrival will be in the early evening)
LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS
Due to space restrictions, you’ll need to pack light for this trip (no hard-shell suitcases), maximum luggage allowance is 15kg.
