  • This is a hiking trip; a good fitness level will help you enjoy all included hikes and activities.
  • This trip involves hiking from 4 to 9.5 miles (6.5 to 15 km) per day with a total trip distance of up to 34 miles (54 km). The altitude in Rocky Mountain National Park ranges from 7500 ft (2293 m) to almost 13,000 ft (3962 m) at the summit of Mt. Ida. The maximum daily elevation gain/loss is 2400 feet (732 m).   • On this tour you will be required to carry a daypack weighing approximately 8-12 lb (3.5-5.5kg).
  • On our final day there is no accommodation included so please plan your departure accordingly, or pre-book a post-tour night.
  • No matter how fit you are, altitude sickness can still affect you. Our leaders are trained to spot the symptoms, but it is very important that you make yourself aware of the cause and effects of travelling at altitude, monitor your health and seek assistance accordingly. In the event that your departure is cancelled due to minimum numbers not being met, a full refund will be provided of monies paid.

5.This trip is operated and run by Wildland Trekking, an Intrepid company. You will be travelling with a mixture of both Wildland Trekking customers and Intrepid customers.

6. Your guide will be in contact approximately 2 weeks before your trip starts to coordinate your pickup in Estes Park. Early on the morning of day 1 your guide will pick you up at your hotel for transport to the first trailhead. This trip concludes at approximately 5:00 PM on the last day in Estes Park.

7. A single tent is provided to all solo travellers at no extra cost.

8. We recommend guests arrive in Estes Park (or another nearby location that is 7500′ or higher) 1-2 days before your trip starts. This will help you acclimatize to the higher elevation, and make for a more enjoyable experience during your tour. This is especially important if you have never been to higher altitude, or are flying in from sea level.
