To take in the main sights of Cambodia in a short amount of time means some long travel days (up to 10 hours driving) by private and public bus.
Temperatures and humidity can be high in Cambodia, especially walking around sights like the Angkor complex where there may be little shade. Be prepared by taking plenty of drink breaks and wearing appropriate skin protection. Some travellers find an umbrella handy to keep the sun off (this will also come in handy should it rain!).
On occasion our accommodation may not have hot water, but you will probably be keen to cool down from the heat with a refreshing cold shower!
The stories shared at the Killing Fields and S21 are confronting and many travellers will find them upsetting. This is an important part of Cambodia's recent history that we feel is important to share. If you would prefer to sit out these activities your leader can recommend some alternative options.

This trip is magnificent for those who can understand that you are travelling across a whole country within a few days. There is a lot of transport but the sights along the way are breathtaking. The local culture can be a culture shock for some but it is something everyone should experience. This trip was incredible.

The SE Asia Loop is fascinating, comparing and contrasting as it does 4 countries in the Region. January was a very pleasant month to go - little / no rain & generally pleasant temperatures, however be aware of the increasing numbers of Chinese tourists to the Region where locations such as Halong Bay, Hoi An and Angkor Wat being on the verge of being overrun. We thought some of the hotels - particularly in Thailand - were of an inadequate standard and that some of the itinerary and the logistics of Hotel check-in after long journeys could quite easily be improved.
