Get under the surface of Tasmania as you explore its diverse landscape - beaches, parks, forests and mountains.
Much of this pristine wilderness state was – up until around 100 years ago – considered too remote to be used as much more than a penal colony. Fast-forward to now and that environment still remains pristine, but there are a few more creature comforts to make the journey an absolute pleasure. Take in the sights of Hobart and the surrounding area from Mt Wellington, and enjoy the view from other stunning lookouts like Donahy and Marion as well. Discover immaculate UNESCO-listed forests and hike along the stunning Hazards Beach after a morning stroll to Wineglass Bay. There’s plenty of time to explore Tasmania at your own pace and enjoy the vast array of food, wine, history and sights.

This was a superb trip with many interesting venues and magnificent views from both coastlines and within the rain forest. If one has some physical limitations, as I do, I urge you to go on this trip! You may not be able to do all the long hikes, but you can take the shorter ones or start out on the longer hikes and turn back when you've gone far enough. We saw many waterfalls and unique parts of Tasmania's rain forest, and many animals. We would visit Tasmania again and likely take this trip again!
