These trips are for families only – including any grandparents, aunts or uncles who’d like to join, of course. As long as you’re travelling with a child aged between 5 (or 10 for some itineraries) and 17, you’re a family in our eyes. Plus, all travellers aged 17 and younger receive a reduced price.
Australia family vacations
Take the gang on a proper Aussie adventure
Who needs an iPad when you have the Australian wilderness at your fingertips? A family vacation in Australia is all about getting out there. Running your hands through fire-red sand, swimming in natural pools beneath towering gum trees, and learning about the ancient Aboriginal stories behind giant monoliths and asteroid craters. With campfire dinners and plenty of downtime to relax under the starry southern sky, these trips set you up for some serious family bonding.

Why choose us
One of the hardest parts of family travel is keeping everyone happy, which is why our trips have loads of fun, educational activities for all ages. We keep travel time to a minimum, use hotels with pools where we can and include plenty of downtime so you and the kids can do your own thing. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kids' hobbies or curriculum.
Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures and they get along great with the kids. You can also relax knowing we use trusted local operators and run safety assessments on all our activities and transport to make sure they meet our strict safety policy. You'll all be well taken care of.
Making a difference has been part of our journey from day one. Through our non-profit, The Intrepid Foundation, we support organisations driving change around the world. And as a certified B Corp, we’re committed to doing good through the joy of travel.
