Queensland tours & vacations
Chances are, you’ve got more to see in Queensland
Want to know where Aussies go for their vacations? Then look to the long stretch of reef-lined coast in Queensland. While the white-sand beaches of the Whitsundays and tropical fish in the Great Barrier Reef make this state a must-visit, the world’s oldest rainforest, unique islands and a handful of relax-to-the-max towns are icing on the cake. Explore Queensland’s ancient backyard with born-and-raised locals, First Nations guides and even marine biologists as you travel from the southern bays of Brisbane to ‘The Tip’ of the Far North.

Sail the Whitsundays
Make the most of your time in the waters of the Whitsundays with two nights on board a sailboat. Stop by the best and brightest snorkelling locations, refuel with fresh on-deck meals and spend time on the sand of Whitehaven Beach.
Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef
Explore one of the world's largest coral reefs on a day tour from sites like Airlie Beach. It takes just a few hours to reach the outer-reef pontoon, where you can swim with fish in just about every colour of the rainbow. If you're lucky, you might see turtles or graceful stingrays gliding past.
Drive along 75 Mile Beach
75 Mile Beach isn’t just a gateway to some of K'gari’s most famous attractions, it's also an official highway with all the usual road rules and an airstrip. A 4WD is the only permitted vehicle on K'gari, so buckle up and get ready for an off-road adventure.
See Mossman Gorge
Follow your leader into the ancient Daintree National Park to reach Mossman Gorge. Not only is it a hidden gem in the jungle, but this area is part of the world’s longest continuously surviving rainforest. Navigate through the boulders for a dip in this sacred part of Australia.
Discover Atherton Tablelands
Raised more than 700 metres above sea level, the area of Atherton Tablelands boasts not one, but multiple ecosystems. In its rainforest region, Millaa Millaa Falls makes a scenic splash among the dense greenery. Stop by for a refreshing dip with a view.
Daintree river cruise
If you’ve wanted to see crocodiles in the wild, this is the place. Take a seat on board the Solar Whisper and, with the well-trained eyes of your captain, spot the mangrove’s local birds, native insects and big and small reptiles from the crocodile to the goanna.
Hit up a Gold Coast beach
When you’ve got a couple hours up your sleeve and looking for something to do, you can’t really go wrong with a walk along Surfers Paradise. Named for its great waves and positioned right by the Esplanade’s skyscrapers, this beach is the Gold Coast’s drawcard for a reason.
