Is there a better part of Australia to cycle through than the Victorian High Country? Framed by the Victorian Alps and dominated by the nearby Mount Buffalo, this is a region well known for its natural beauty, welcoming people and delicious wine. This cycling trip takes in the best of it at a pace set to enjoy and experience rather than get the heart racing. Kick things off in the well-preserved historic town of Beechworth, then cycle the famous sealed tracks of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail through small gold-mining towns like Myrtleford before arriving into the heart of the High Country, Bright. Meander through wine country, enjoy some proper Victorian hospitality at local pubs and rediscover the joy of pedalling through one of the most gorgeous areas in the entire nation.

Thoroughly enjoyed our cycling tour - magnificent scenery, great company, easy riding and delicious food. Anna did a great job ensuring everything ran smoothly, which meant we could relax and enjoy the experience. It was my first major cycling trip and I am now keen to explore more!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this cycling adventure, the first of many hopefully. Anna did a great job giving local knowledge, making us feel welcome & guiding us through picture perfect scenery explaining the history, the changes in local trade and helping us find the best places to rest and eat. Amazing! It helped me definitely relax and my almost 14 year old daughter had a blast! We even somehow miraculously avoided the swooping magpies so silver sparkle ribbon tape may be a winner. Thoroughly recommend this adventure

Our Murray to Mountains rail trail trip was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guide, Anna was fabulous. She had so many stories, immediately made everyone feel relaxed and generated a camaraderie in the group. She has a lot of experience and made sure everyone was safe. The trail itself was breathtakingly beautiful with early spring colours dominating. The bikes were well-Maintained and of good quality,. As foodies, we had plenty of great food options and accommodation was very decent. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone and look forward to discovering other Intrepid trips!
