Take a step back from your busy lifestyle and jump into the adventure of a lifetime.Â
There's never been a better time to hit pause on the stresses of everyday life, to rediscover your hunger for new experiences, and to escape to extraordinary destinations with the ones you love spending time with. Luckily for us, Australia is the best place to do it. Whether you fancy exploring the spot where the rainforest meets the reef on our Queensland Daintree Explorer tour, watching Uluru's creviced surface shift colours with the setting sun on our Uluru & Kings Canyon Adventure, or trekking past some pretty remarkable rock formations on our Walk the Flinders Ranges tour, you're guaranteed to make memories you'll want to relive long after you get home. From the rugged mountains of Tasmania to the spectacular beaches of Queensland, this country has enough natural beauty to take your breath away. The only decision you have to make is where you want to go.Â

Australia FAQs
Everyone travelling on an Intrepid trip must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of carriage.
All travellers are required to produce:Â
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- All children aged 5 to 17 years old must provide proof of vaccination (if eligible), proof of recovery or a negative COVID-19 test.
- If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, you must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional.
In all cases, you must be fully inoculated. This means you must receive the full dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine and allow enough time for immunity to take effect. Each COVID-19 vaccine has different dosages and timeframes for inoculation, so please check the relevant medical advice associated with your vaccine.

If you live in Australia, you’ll be well aware that you need more than a pair of thongs, bathers and suncream. Australia’s pretty massive and the landscapes are so diverse. You’ve got the beaches on the East Coast, the dry deserts of the Red Centre, humid rainforests in the north – you get it. But no matter what trip you’re going on, there are a few items we think are essential:
-
Reusable water bottleÂ
-
DaysackÂ
-
Suncream
-
Sunglasses (with UV protection)
-
Warm layersÂ
-
Insect repellentÂ
-
Portable power bank
-
Camera
-
Torch
-
BathersÂ
-
Comfortable, sturdy footwearÂ
-
Thongs
-
Lightweight towel
Both states have an abundance of natural beauty including jaw-dropping national parks and endless sandy beaches so settling the debate of the Northern Territory vs Western Australia is a hard one. Both bursting with Aboriginal culture, vibrant and multicultural cities, and more wildlife than you'll be able to spot, each region is breathtaking in its own way.Â
Intrepid is committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. That’s why we do our best to help as many people see the world as possible, regardless of any physical or mental limitations they might have. However, we’re always happy to talk to travellers with disabilities and see if we can help guide them towards the most suitable itinerary for their needs and where possible, make reasonable adjustments to our itineraries.
