Our Premium trips offer exclusive, culturally immersive experiences with a group of like-minded travellers. We keep our groups small – 12 travellers max – so you can connect with the locals, explore off the tourist trails and have authentic experiences without waiting around or getting lost in the crowd. You’ll travel by private transport, and every trip will include a Feature Stay in memorable accommodation, like a historic mansion in Europe, an eco-lodge in the jungle or an underground gîte in the desert. All Premium itineraries include a feature stay chosen for historic significance. These unique properties showcase local architectural style while providing an exceptional local experience. Think: a Ming-dynasty heritage house in China or a thatched cabana in the Peruvian Amazon.

Premium itineraries are designed and curated by Intrepid’s on-ground experts. With just 10 travellers on average, you’ll have loads of chances to pick your leader’s brain and swap stories along the way.
Premium trips pack in more experiences than any other style we offer, with included activities that span cultural to culinary. The pace is relaxed and refined: think less huffing and puffing and more soaking it all in.
With more meals included than any other Intrepid style, you’ll want to pack your appetite. From home-cooked feasts to multicourse gourmet dinners, Premium meals are so much more than just food – they’re experiences to remember.
With arrival transfers included, luggage porterage and 24/7 in-destination support, we’ll handle the details so you can focus on the adventure. And to skip the hassle, all incidental tips (except your local leader) are already included in the price.

Our Premium trips mostly use private vehicles, though in some destinations, we seek out unique modes of transport for speed and convenience.
