United Kingdom tours in July 2024

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the UK minus rain!

Ok, so there might be SOME rain, but overall, July is the UK's sunniest month, and to the locals, the dark, wet days of winter are a distant memory. With maximum daylight and warm (ish) temps, July is the perfect time for a walking trip. History buffs will enjoy following Hadrian's Wall through the English countryside, and wellness enthusiasts will love a nourishing yoga class following a walk along the Cornish Coast. Beat the July heat on your walking trip in the Scottish Highlands by trading hiking boots for swimming suits when you visit the 'beaches' of Loch Morlich for a cooling dip.

Had a wonderful time despite the weather. It was amazing to walk along a 2000 yo piece of history.

We have travelled with intrepid before and there were wonderful, this trip was a deplorable, buyer be warned, the description doesn’t match the activity, you spend most of your time waking to/from train stations in the rain to then have to try and book and get to your tour yourself, which will cost a fortune in taxi’s or spend all day waiting for one of the 2 buses. A real disappointment and the highlands are beautiful, a shame intrepid placed a black mark for Scotland.

This trip was overall lovely, and Scotland overall was fantastic! The trip was a good way to see a lot in a short amount of time. The experience of what you see at each location/stop will be what you make of it. If you want to take down time you can, but if there is something specific you want to see at a stop then plan for it in advance on your own!

Intrepid was unconcerned with Covid protocols. In spite of complaints and calls we were required to travel with a symptomatic Covid positive person for the first part of the trip. We spent our time continually contacting customer support. It took 4 days for intrepid to deal with the problem which was too late. Both my husband and I got sick. It was the worst vacation ever.

If you are looking for a fun, insightful trip with great service, do not, for any reason, book with Intrepid. They do not provide what they promise, they do not follow health and safety regulations and they are virtually impossible to reach when you have questions or concerns. They take your money, provide terrible service and let you sort out the details on your own.
