Asia walking & trekking highlights
Conquer Everest Base Camp
Trekking to the base of the world's tallest mountain is a once-in-a-lifetime kinda experience. As you walk among giants in the mighty Himalayas, you'll be tested (in all the best ways) and treated to some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet. There's no Wi-Fi and Netflix here – only card games in tiny teahouses, good conversations over chai and magical sunrises over Everest.
Complete the Annapurna Circuit
The Annapurna Range in Nepal ticks all the boxes for an unforgettable trek. Sitting on another side of the Himalayas, the scenery here is different to the neighbouring Everest region with terraced rice fields, mist-shrouded valleys and forests full of flame-red rhododendrons. Crossing the 5416-metre-tall Thorung La Pass with your head in the clouds (literally) is one hell of an achievement.
Swap bullet trains for hiking boots in Japan
Venture away from the tourist trail on two of Japan's ancient pilgrim routes. Weave through the wilderness of Koya-san, join in a Buddhist monastery’s morning prayers and admire the sweeping views of Wakayama from the Hyakken-gura peak. When you're tired and weary after a long day of walking, you can fill your belly with delicious Japanese food. Sushi, sashimi or tempura, anyone?
Hit picture-perfect trails in Pakistan
Pakistan is packed with scenery that'll wow you over and over again. Journey into the Karakoram Mountains where giant peaks, glacial streams and flower-filled valleys await, and experience top-notch hospitality that'll make you feel right at home. The best part? Pakistan is still low on the tourist radar (but not for long!), so you'll experience a trekking destination that most haven't.
