Morocco Tours & Holidays

When people throw around the word ‘remarkable’, they’re probably referring to places like Morocco.

Places where riding a camel over dunes while the sun shimmers dramatically on the horizon is not an unusual thing. Where tagines come spiked with saffron and argan, carpet merchants haggle in the bazaars and Berber tribesmen herd goats on the slopes of the High Atlas Mountains. A Morocco tour is basically the answer to all your Lawrence of Arabia-type fantasies (right down to the swirling white djellabas): you’ll stay in historic riads, camp beneath the Saharan stars and enjoy some classic Maghreb hospitality (usually featuring plenty of cous cous). Whether it’s the wind-battered port town of Essaouira or the crumbling Kasbahs and oases of the deep desert – ‘remarkable’ doesn’t come close.

Morocco: Women's Expedition

Leah · Traveled May 2023
I have just finished this trip and it was amazing.. our leader Sara was so knowledgeable, caring and organised. The team of locals Mama bia ( safia), Touda, Fatima, Bassou and Mohamed deserve recognition too. Felt safe and welcome by everyone along the trek and in the village the whole time. Would highly recommend this trip if you want an authentic way to visit and learn about Morocco. I felt a true sense of connection with nature and with the people both locally and on our group. The walks were steady going with some slightly challenging moments but the scenery and views was worth it. Very inspiring, would do it again in a heartbeat!

Morocco: Women's Expedition

Malikkah · Traveled May 2023
What a fabulous and unique experience traveling with this phenomenal and proud Berber guides/team in a very remote beautiful area. I wish I had bought a camel pak for water and an inflatable little mattress pad as the beds were quite hard. I loved being in the city for a few days, but really out in the rural area, enjoying the peace and quiet. The hiking wasn’t too strenuous except on one day when we hiked 25 km. Sarah, our guide was extraordinary, and I would go on any trip with her in the future as was our other guide Mama Bia. I’m ready for my next women’s expedition with Intrepid.😊

Intrepid as an organization has care not only for the tourists, they care the people for the countries that we visit. The tour in Morocco was well organized from day one and the accommodations were great and different. I will use Intrepid for future travels.
