Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. It's important to understand that each country you visit may have its own specific entry requirements, and some destinations mandate travel health insurance for all foreign travellers, regardless of their nationality.

Your leader will record your travel insurance details on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is an essential part of every journey.

The best time to visit Adelaide can be at any time of year, however, summers can get very hot, which is not always the most comfortable for some visitors.

This makes the best seasons to visit, typically the shoulder months in autumn and spring, around March to May and October to November.

Winters can get cold and rainy; however, they do not get as cold as the more southern regions of Australia.

During the warmer months, bring shorts/leggings, t-shirts and a loose shirt to cover your shoulders in direct sunlight. You'll also need a hat and sunglasses.

During the winter months, make sure you bring warmer layers, including a down jacket and a beanie for those chilly winter mornings.

If you plan on hiking, be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, a day bag and a reusable water bottle.
