Peru tours in February 2026
Don't let a little rain get in the way of a Peru adventure
Yes, February is wet – and yes, the Inca Trail is closed for maintenance, but that means extra lush landscapes and smaller crowds. Why not hike the equally rewarding Quarry Trail – and visit three lesser-known archaeological sites while you're at it? Or hop on a train to Machu Picchu for all the views and none of the sweat. In a party mood? February is festival season, with Puno’s colourful Candelaria Festival, Carnival in Cusco and National Pisco Sour Day – celebrated all over, but especially in Lima.
