Getting around Brisbane is relatively easy, especially if you're staying in Brisbane's city centre as most landmarks and tourist spots are within walking distance of each other. Brisbane's public transport scheme works with the TransLink go card, giving you easy access to various systems including bus, ferry, and rail services operating across south-east Queensland. To buy one of these go cards, simply make your way to any attended Queensland rail stations, 7-Elevens, or Night Owl stores, or purchase a card online, and top up the balance in the same way you would top up a prepaid mobile phone.

However, there are free public transportation options too! You can catch a bus for free if you're located in the CBD and wish to travel to another inner-city location. Bus services through the City Loop and Spring Hill regions are available every 10 minutes and stop at all the major landmarks and destinations between 7 am - 6 pm on weekdays.

There's also a free CityHopper ferry service that runs between Brisbane's inner-city precincts, travelling along the river from North Quay all the way to Sydney Street in New Farm.
