- Explore Ndere Island National Park on Lake Victoria and look out for the rare sitatunga antelopes on a special game drive to spot local wildlife.
- Ride through Kisumu’s city centre on a cycling tour where you’ll visit Kajulu Forest – part of the Kajulu Community Forest Association, which promotes the sustainable management and conservation of forests.

- Learn more about World Bicycle Relief here: https://worldbicyclerelief.org/
- This trip is a special fundraising event. Unlike other Intrepid trips, there is just one exclusive departure date. In order to secure your place on the trip, you’re committing to fundraising 2500 AUD for World Bicycle Relief. You need to achieve this fundraising target no later than 30 days prior to departure.
- To complete this trip, it’s important that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
- You’ll be cycling for up to 35 km a day on varied terrain, so you’ll need an adequate level of fitness.
- Riding is done along both sealed and unsealed roads, but there are no special technical skills needed. Some practice at home is a great idea, however, especially for downhill sections.
- You’ll be travelling with the group in a purpose-built overland vehicle. While these trucks don’t have air conditioning, they do have drop-down windows, which let in the breeze and make it even easier to take spectacular snaps of the local wildlife. The drive days can be long, but it’s as much about the journey as the destination, and half the fun is the camaraderie.
