Our guide Thordur was so experienced (he has run 98 Intrepid tours so far!), and was able to make adjustments to the itinerary on the fly to ensure we made the most of the time and weather we had - even adding in extra activities/locations to make up for ones missed due to road closures etc. I can see that every trip to Iceland is unique in this way.

Our tour guide’s commentaries were enriched by his broad knowledge of Iceland’s history, its geography, its plants and animals, its culture, its traditions and its people. We were immersed in the beauty of Iceland and we have fallen in love with this country.

This trip was an incredible, cost-effective way to see lots of Iceland in a short period of time! Our group was fantastic and our leader's insight was invaluable. I'd highly recommend this trip if Iceland is one of your bucket list destinations :)

This was the perfect way to experience Iceland. We saw so much more than if we had visited on our own and the stress of navigating the country (and any surprise weather conditions) was relieved. The tour was well paced – despite lots of travel time, it was broken up with lots of stops and places to explore. Gisli was the best – we loved his stories and subtle humor!
