When's the best time to visit Launceston?

There really is no best time to visit Launceston as each month provides reasonably good weather. Deciding when to visit largely depends on what kind of holiday you want to have.

If you want to make the most of the great outdoors, hiking and bike riding your way along the Tamar River and through this city's luscious national parks, then summer is a good season to go in. Summer sees lower rainfall and warmer temperatures. However, it's also the peak season for travel so the city is likely to be busier than usual.

If you want to avoid the crowds but still experience sunnier weather, consider visiting in March or November.
