Our average group size of 10 (usually 3 to 5 like-minded families) means we can use local transport, eat at family-run restaurants, and stay in traditional guesthouses and homestays. All relations are welcome – as long as you’re with a child aged between 5 and 17, you’re a family in our eyes.
Australia family holidays
Take the gang on a proper Aussie adventure
Who needs an iPad when you have the Australian wilderness at your fingertips? A family holiday in Australia is all about getting out there. Running your hands through fire-red sand, swimming in natural pools beneath towering gum trees, and learning about the ancient Aboriginal stories behind giant monoliths and asteroid craters. With campfire dinners and plenty of downtime to relax under the starry southern sky, these trips set you up for some serious family bonding.

Why choose us
We know one of the hardest parts of family travel is keeping the kids entertained, which is why our trips have loads of fun, educational activities for both children and grown-ups. We try to keep travel time to a minimum, use hotels with pools where we can and include plenty of free time to do your own thing. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kids’ hobbies or curriculum.
Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures and have a great rapport with the kids, so you'll all be well taken care of. You can also relax knowing we use – and regularly audit – trusted local operators and conduct safety assessments on all our activities to make sure they meet our comprehensive safety policy.
Making a difference has been part of our journey from day one. Through our non-profit, The Intrepid Foundation, we support organisations driving change around the world. And as a certified B Corp, we’re committed to doing good through the joy of travel.
