Ecuador Tours & Holidays

Ecuador might be smaller than its heavyweight South American neighbours, but it has no shortage of natural wonders.

Blessed with a bonanza of perfect beaches and the wildlife haven of the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador’s wealth of natural riches creates a one-stop shop for incredible experiences. Whether it’s spotting hummingbirds in the Amazon rainforest, seeing a condor swoop through the Andes or getting an up-close view of marine life along the coast – Ecuador is unrivalled in serving up South America’s best.

Galapagos Island Hopping

Karin · Traveled February 2024
Best of the Galapagos Tour (10 days) was an amazing, unforgettable experience of a lifetime! Intrepid's guides in Quito (Marcello, Luis, and Anna) and on the Islands (Cesar (aka CheChe) were fantastic! It is difficult for me to identify a favorite experience from the trip, but highlights include swimming with baby sea lions, baby hammerhead sharks, and rays, seeing giant tortoises in the wild, hiking the world's 2nd largest volcanic crater at Sierra Negra, and making new friends from around the world. Thank you, Intrepid!

Best of Galapagos

Barbara · Traveled February 2024
Best of Galapagos was a superb experience - cannot recommend it enough. The trip was well organised with a good balance of organised activities (alternatives given). Our guide, Cesar, is so knowledgeable and his passion and love for the Galapagos was infectious. Being a single, older lady I was made to feel safe and a welcome member of the Intrepid family.

Classic Galapagos: Central Eastern Islands (Grand Queen Beatriz)

Nick · Traveled February 2024
The Galapagos is best encountered on a smaller ship. An Intrepid tour of the islands delivers a personal experience of Galapagos' diversity but with the logistical support and creature comforts typical of much larger vessels.

Classic Galapagos: South Eastern Islands (Grand Queen Beatriz)

Jennifer · Traveled January 2024
This was a bucket list destination for me and I had high expectations going into the trip. Incredibly the trip far exceeded my expectations. We had two naturalist guides during the trip and both Roberto and Karla were very knowledgeable, organised, communicated well, and shared their enthusiasm and passion for the Galapagos. The itinerary was impacted by island closures for onshore landings due to concerns around avian flu - while it was disappointing not to follow the itinerary on some days, we were notified in advance by Intrepid and the activities offered instead gave us comparable alternative experiences. We had a top crew onboard the Grand Queen Beatriz and I was so pleased with the meals offered onboard, cleanliness in the cabin and in common areas, and safety measures taken on the pangas and snorkeling. This was one of the best trips I have done with Intrepid.

Galapagos Island Hopping

Amazing holiday! So fun to travel to this area with a great group of like-minded people and of course, a wonderful tour guide, who was extremely knowledgeable of the plants, animal, and history.
