Go hiking in the Amazon in search of curious monkeys and otters. Want to give them a history lesson they’ll never forget? Peru has a very famous Inca citadel where they’ll be amazed how the Lost City was built... without machines! Take taco Tuesdays to the next level at a tortilla workshop with a Maya family in Mexico. Or, for the animal lovers, head to the Galapagos and get close to giant tortoises and sea lions. As you can see, Latin America really does have it all.

Get close to nature in the Galapagos
The Galapagos Islands are your ticket to some unforgettable animal encounters. A typical day here might include snorkelling with turtles over ancient lava tubes, getting eye level with giant tortoises, or strolling the shores past penguins and sea lions. You and the kids will also take a fun lesson in marine conservation, where you’ll turn plastic ocean waste into feel-good souvenirs.
Take a really cool history class in Peru
There’s something for the whole family to learn at Machu Picchu. Did you know this 15th century citadel was built with stones stacked so tightly – without mortar – that not even a knife blade will fit between them? Or that the Incas were amazing astronomers who studied the stars to plan the harvest seasons? You can bet this is a history class they'll remember.
Make tortillas with a Maya family
Family and food are at the heart of Mexican culture, so what better way to experience local traditions than a tortilla-making class with a local family? Head inland to the jungle-clad village of Laguna Chabela in the Yucatan Peninsula, where you’ll meet your hosts, explore their farm and learn how they live off the land. Then sit down to make a fresh batch of tortillas for lunch. The mess is all part of the fun!
Get crafty with the Maleku community
Visit the Maleku community – the smallest Indigenous community in Costa Rica – to learn how they're helping wildlife return to their natural habitats. You'll then get in touch with your creative side during a hands-on workshop where you and the kids will use carved calabash fruit and acrylic paints to make your own jicara (traditional drinking cup) to take home as a souvenir.

Like-minded travellers
Travelling with us is a bit like travelling with old friends. You’ll join a group of 3 to 5 families from all over the world, and the kids tend to hit it off straight away so you can enjoy some well-earned R&R. We often find that families stay in touch long after the trip ends.
Small groups
Our groups are small enough to avoid the crowds and reach out-of-the-way places, but big enough for a good social mix. Our average group size of 10 allows us to hop aboard local boats, buses or trains, eat at family-run restaurants, and stay in traditional guesthouses and homestays.
Kid-friendly itineraries
Boredom? Nope. The biggest challenge of travelling with kids is keeping them entertained, which is why our trips have plenty of fun activities and free time. We try to keep travelling time to a minimum and use hotels with pools. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kid’s hobbies or curriculum.
Safety first
Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures, so you and the kids will be well taken care of. You can also rest easy knowing we conduct safety assessments on all our activities to meet local standards as well as our own comprehensive safety policy.
