Bolivia Tours & Holidays

Bold and brash, Bolivia lifts travellers to its dizzying heights with stunning scenery, legendary landmarks and a rich, indigenous heritage.

Bolivia is an energetic, enigmatic piece of South American sorcery – alive with passion, awash with colour, connected to the past but living very much in the present. Soak in thermal baths surrounded by erupting geysers and desert; marvel at ruins on Lake Titicaca’s Island of the Sun (the mythical birthplace of Inca civilization); saddle up and tour Old Sucre’s monastic buildings and, of course, check out the mega salt-lick of the Salar de Uyuni – it’s like being on a snowfield…but with flamingos!

Travelling to Bolivia was an absolute highlight for us. Its a land relatively untouched by tourism, with a deep culture, amazing people, wildlife and scenery. Our trip was very professionally run (by the lovely Marisol). Its not a trip for the feint-hearted, with rocky roads, and dry deserts, but it will be an adventure you won't forget.

Excellent trip. Bolivia may not have the biggest reputation as a travel destination but it is very much worth the visit. Plenty to do and see, it's a great trip.

Best of Bolivia & Argentina

I did not expect to fall in love with Bolivia, but I did. Flying into La Paz at night, with its amber lights and aerial trams and down to earth people - was magical. Mountain biking and a charmingly elegant cooking class in Sucre. Scampering along the vast brick landscape that is the rooftop of the church in Potosi. These were just the warm up for the adventure to Salar de Uyuni, where our guide and the drivers set up a series of photo shoots in the other worldly terrain that were great fun. We periodically stopped to view the magical wildlife and volcanic geysers along the way. We sang together in good spirits as we drove through the desert and enjoyed our stay at a charming dormitory constructed of salt bricks. The description of this trip does not do justice to the many hidden gems that make up Bolivia. The magician behind it all was our extremely capable and charming tour leader, Henrry, who took care of us like a mother hen.

Adventurous trip. The perfect blend of city/culture and landscapes/adventure.
