Uzbekistan Tours & Holidays

Experience a remote adventure – well and truly off the tourist trail – in dazzling Uzbekistan.

There are the famous cultural sites we’ve been told we have to visit (here’s looking at you, Instagram), and then there are the iconic sites we never knew we had to see. Like the glittering turquoise domes of Registan Square in Samarkand, the breathtaking Kalon Mosque and Minaret in the ancient Silk Road city of Bukhara. And outside of the cities, Uzbekistan is just as full of surprises – like the traditional villages of the Nuratau Mountains or a desert-bound yurt camp. This is Uzbekistan, in all its charming glory.

I have no hesitation in recommending Intrepid's ‘Premium Uzbekistan’ tour - I went from knowing nothing about the country apart from having a fascination with ‘The Silk Road’ to having a deep regard for Uzbekistan, it’s people, religious tolerance and family values. Uzbekistan is a very safe country and the people absolutely lovely.

Go to Uzbekistan! You will be awed by its architecture and charmed by its people. I loved all the places we visited. The trip is a busy itinerary so plan for lots of touring. Our guide Zafar did a great job taking care of our group, and he is a wealth of knowledge and organization. Our group was a nice mix of good people who got along well.

I had little specific knowledge about Uzbekistan apart from it being on the ‘Silk Road’ and this tour opened my eyes to how rich it’s history really is; how cohesive the community is and the importance of family; and how religiously tolerant the country is. I now have a deep respect for the country and it’s people, and hope to return.

Overpriced, under delivered. Our whole group feels this way “I feel ripped off” a statement from a very gentle soul on our trip. Upside, our tour leader and the actual group. Appalling hotels, unnecessary bus trip, when a train is available. Be very careful in choosing this trip.

Had a wonderful 10 days in Uzbekistan - such a rich culture and history (the architecture is a photographer's dream) and friendly people. Our tour leader Lochin was outstanding, very knowledgeable, passionate and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a safe, seamless and memorable journey.
