Bhutan Tours & Holidays

Bhutan measures its success by Gross National Happiness and by the end of your Intrepid tour, you’ll have contributed more than your fair share of smiles to the cause.

This tiny Himalayan kingdom does things differently. Having only been open to visitors for 45 years, Bhutan puts its environment, culture and wellbeing ahead of economics. This place absorbs more carbon than it creates and a Bhutan tour is perfect for trekkers, nature-lovers and Buddhist pilgrims. From the jaw-dropping Tiger’s Nest to the prayer halls of Gangte Goemba, you’ll experience moments – and people – that make happiness seem like the norm, not a pursuit.

Bhutan is a country that has been relatively untouched by the outside world. Except for some products, you feel as if you have stepped out of the busy world we live in. The highlight of doing the hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery made it for me. Doing this country is a must.

Bhutan is such a beautiful country, highly recommend visiting. Hopefully you would be as lucky as us to have Sangay as your tour leader and Karma as the highly experienced driver and professional photographer! Amazing trip!

We took a 9 day trip of Bhutan ( Premium Bhutan) with Intrepid Travel with a focus on understanding the country and its people, religion and culture. The trip was fantastic and provided us deep insight into the country. The small group size (11 people) allowed for close interaction. The Guide and tour leader (Tulsi) was excellent and very knowledgeable in all aspects of life and culture of this beautiful country. Our visit was capped by a hike to the Tigers Nest and learning about the second Buddha and the beautiful monastery there. Overall, thanks to Intrepid for coordinating this trip.
