Gorillas & Game Parks

This trip is 90% driving and 10% activities and exploring. There are more efficient ways to see the gorillas and more efficient and enjoyable ways to go on game drives. This takes a lot of time and there are a lot of extra activities and fees. It’s also a fairly inactive trip. You don’t get the opportunity to move your body except on the gorilla trek, chimp trek and the village tours. Be sure to read the trip essentials carefully and imagine the drive times in a hot, dusty, bumpy truck.

A very worthwhile trip, be careful not to slip when Gorilla trekking, bring separate sunblock and insect repellant, and be chill about laundry. The tour operator's are great. Use your common sense. Or use your charm. It almost worked for me.

We went on the Gorilla Trek experience as a middle aged couple unsure what to fully expect as this was our first Intrepid Trip. We can happily say it is an experience that will live with us for the rest of our lives. It must be experienced.

As a first time Intrepid traveller, this trip exceeded my expectations in every way. The warmth and professionalism of the crew, the camaraderie amongst my fellow travellers and the range of once in a lifetime experiences and activities was superb
