Lithuania Tours & Holidays

As the first Soviet republic to declare its independence from the Soviet Union in 1990, this slice of fairy-tale Europe – replete with medieval castles and primeval forests – is just begging to be explored

Once the largest empire on the European continent, Lithuania’s history reads at times like a Game of Thrones episode and presents much for those looking to discover a new side of Europe. With architectural splendours spanning the gothic to renaissance to baroque to bohemian, a hearty national cuisine, and – would you believe it – a stunning stretch of sand dune coast, Lithuania bewitches all those who visit.

Cycle the Baltics

Cheryl · Traveled August 2023
This trip is a good introduction to the Baltic countries for those who cycle slowly. The terrain is very flat and the kilometrage low. It was somewhat of a challenge to balance the different levels of riders. Fortunately there were only 9 of us; a huge advantage.

Wonderful foray into the Baltics with a balanced amount of time in larger cities and nature - I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Baltics are fabulous. Each country has its own identity and proud locals who are keen to show you their hospitality and cook good food for you. Tipping isn't mandatory but they are so appreciative when you do. The hotels on this tour were not value for money and I hope Intrepid sorts out Riga as the last minute change put our group almost out of town with accommodation.

Baltic Experience

An excellent trip. The Baltics are truly beautiful countries that are so far untouched by mass market tourism. A mixture of cities and countryside with some great sights and great food along the way.
