Broome tours & holidays

Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their adventure. Your leader will record your travel insurance details on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of healthcare around the world, travel insurance is an essential part of every journey.

Generally, the best time to visit Western Australia is during the summer season (December, January, and February) as the weather is warm and sunny.

If you're wanting a holiday without the crowds, the months of March-May and September-October are the best times to visit as the weather is still reasonably warm and enjoyable, especially if you're spending long periods of time outside.

The most important items to have on a trip in Western Australia are sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, even in winter, as the sun reflects off the water and the white sand.

Bring a good pair of walking shoes so you can explore the national parks comfortably. A light jumper is useful if you are going to be out on the water for lengthy periods of time.

We take the health and safety of our travellers seriously and take every measure to ensure that trips are safe, fun and inclusive for everyone. When you travel with us, you have access to our global support network and local on‑ground leadership, and you can rest easy knowing we have a zero-tolerance policy on discrimination.

We recommend that all travellers check with their government or national travel advisory organisation for the latest information before departure. The World Health Organisation also provides useful health information.

Learn more about safe travels with Intrepid

Yes, all Intrepid trips support The Intrepid Foundation. In Australia, we partner with the Centre for Nature Positive Solutions, Country Needs People, Greening Australia and Rainforest Rescue. Intrepid will double the impact by dollar matching all traveller donations made to The Intrepid Foundation.

Centre for Nature Positive Solutions

Centre for Nature Positive Solutions is helping restore vital coastal wetlands. Wetlands provide critical ecosystem services, including carbon storage, water filtration, erosion control and habitat for diverse wildlife, yet they are one of the most threatened ecosystems on earth. Donations made through The Intrepid Foundation will help Centre for Nature Positive Solutions drive impactful action by supporting the restoration of coastal wetlands and advancing research and innovation.
