It's cool down south and dry up north

Across Australia, May means less swimming in the south but better days out towards the Top End. With the dry season beginning in Far North Queensland, visitors can expect comfortable weather and cool evenings. It’s also the last month of the jellyfish season, so stinger suits may still be needed in the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Sunny but cooler autumn days are happening around the rest of the country this month, making it an excellent time for hikes.
