Getting to Hanoi largely depends on where you're travelling from, but if it's within Vietnam, you can catch an overnight train or flight to Hanoi. Hanoi also has an international airport, so if you're travelling from Australia, services such as Jetstar and Vietnam Airlines offer routes to and from Hanoi from cities such as Sydney and Melbourne. 

The best time to visit Hanoi is during spring (March to April) and autumn (September to November), when days are generally warm and sunny. The summer months in Hanoi tend to be extremely hot and humid with frequent rainfall while the winter months are cold (around 4°C at nighttime) and dry. 

The quality of internet services in Hanoi has greatly improved over the years, so you shouldn't have trouble accessing the internet if you're using an international SIM card or activated your international roaming option. Most cafes, restaurants and hotels also have free wi-fi making connecting with friends and family back home super easy.

Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. It's important to understand that each country you visit may have its own specific entry requirements, and some destinations mandate travel health insurance for all foreign travellers, regardless of their nationality.
