Sweden Tours & Holidays

Is it possible for a country to be too beautiful?

Because Sweden, if you’re listening, you’ve been awfully greedy. From the remote reaches of the alpine tundra to Stockholm’s scenic streets, beauty pervades every part of this country including, it would seem, the people. But let’s not be too shallow – there’s also the Viking history, the coffee culture, the Northern Lights and a legally protected freedom to roam that sees locals and those on a Sweden tour taking to the coast, to the hills, to the mountains and rivers in search of a little piece of paradise for themselves.

Complete Scandinavia

Peter was an exceptional leader who was very keen for all of us to enjoy and embrace Scandinavia. Too many highlights however Norwegian Fjords and Gudvangen were a joy to visit. There is a fair amount of travel so some fitness is required. There was so much to see and do and gave us a good taste for the next visit.

This trip covers an expensive destination, but it is worth every cent. Very well paced with lots of inclusions. The orientation walks in each place are an excellent idea and very helpful.

This was my 2nd Intrepid trip; the first one was Iceland. This trip was outstanding because the kyaking thru the fjords; was the highlight of the trip by actually living though the fjords. Then, then the following day, we were on a boat through the fjords which we kyaked the day prior.

Complete Scandinavia is the ideal itinerary for those who wish to see this area of the world. There is an even balance between inclusions and personal time, and travel days aren’t that long. Hotels and breakfasts are along the spectrum (Copenhagen and Helsinki are quite awful, but the rest of the trip is good to excellent). Trust the itinerary for fun times in Vrango Island, Gutvangen, and Mora which are likely places you’d skip if traveling alone. Huge props to leaders Bashkim and Shane, both of whom I consider true friends for their authentic leadership and kind demeanors. Pro tips: rely on credit cards and skip taking out cash (100% of all my purchases were tap), and add a day in Helsinki to take a day trip via fast ferry to Tallinn, Estonia.
