Worried about the weather? Stress less: all weather is taco weather, in our humble and hungry opinion. But if you’re keen to make the most of your time in Mexico and see more fiesta than siesta, it’s worth knowing what to expect when it’s not raining mezcal.

Weather in Oaxaca

Oaxaca enjoys a mild winter and warm, rainy summer, though the rainfall is not as intense as in other parts of Mexico. The region’s capital city, Oaxaca, sits at 1550 metres (5000 feet) above sea level so the night temperature in winter can sometimes drop well into the single digits, while the days remain pleasant.
