From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travellers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises).

However, we continue to strongly recommend that all Intrepid travellers and leaders get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.

Specific proof of testing or vaccination may still be required by your destination or airline. Please ensure you check travel and entry requirements carefully.

Visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. Entry requirements can change at any time, so it's important that you check for the latest information.

Visas can take several weeks to process, so familiarise yourself with any requirements as soon as you have booked your trip to allow for processing time.

Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians, Americans and British citizens do not require a visa to visit Morocco for stays up to 90 days. All other nationalities should check with the Moroccan Embassy or Consulate in their country for up-to-date visa information.

The best time to visit Morocco is generally during the autumn (September-November) or early spring (March-April), but Morocco is a year-round destination.

Generally, Morocco is considered to be a fairly safe destination for solo travellers, even females. However, precautions should be undertaken so that you feel more comfortable moving around this country's cities such as travelling with a group (or at least one other person) when going out at night, sticking to well-lit and populated streets, and not staying out too late. Remember when travelling via public transport, always keep your belongings in a safe place where you can easily touch/see them. 

If you don't want to take a tour where all the transportation is already organised and arranged for you, there are several other ways you can travel between Casablanca and Morocco including flying and catching public transport. One of the more popular ways to travel through the country is by train as it allows you to see more of the incredible landscapes and will only take you around 3 hours. 

Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. Your travel insurance details will be recorded by your leader on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is very much an essential and necessary part of every journey.
