New Zealand North Island Tours & Holidays

Fly into Auckland and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore New Zealand's North Island.

Head north to discover the stunning scenery of the Bay of Islands where you can get out on the water, immerse yourself in Maori culture, and take a guided tour of a glow worm cave. South of Auckland you'll find the town of Rotorua, famous for its geothermal activity, bubbling mud and geysers. Stunning Lake Taupo is also on the cards if you keep driving in this direction. If food and wine is your thing, don’t miss the scenic Hawke's Bay wine region which is famous for its award winning wines. The nearby town of Napier, which has one of the world’s largest collections of Art Deco architecture, is also worth a look. Keep going to the very bottom of the North Island and you’ll end up in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington. Overlooking sparkling blue water and packed with fantastic museums, restaurants and bars, you won’t want to miss this lively cultural and culinary hub.

This holiday is perfect for exploring the North Island of New Zealand. The itinerary is busy, but not too busy, and there aren't any days where the travel is onerous. It's a beautiful, interesting place and this tour lets you experience that to the fullest.

New Zealand Uncovered (Southbound)

Janine · Traveled March 2024
This trip was amazing. Such a beautiful country with plenty to see and do. Highlights for me were Milford Sound and the Franz Josef helicopter. Great group and an excellent guide who went the extra mile for us providing options to do during our free time if wanted. Highly recommend doing this trip North to South as the islands are vastly different to each other and finishing with the South was a perfect ending.

New Zealand Amplified (Northbound)

Carla · Traveled March 2024
This was such an incredible trip, I only wish I had booked on to a longer tour! The range of activities was excellent, so you could be as extremely adventurous or as slightly adventurous as you wanted. From day one our guide Connor was friendly, organised and knowledgeable. To be shown such an amazing country by someone who is clearly passionate about his home and engaged with more responsible tourism made for a trip I will never forget!

New Zealand’s South Island in Depth

Ruth · Traveled March 2024
I would like to say that our guide, Adam Kamana, was outstanding and worked hard to ensure the trip was a success. Nothing was too much trouble. He made sure everyone was included. His sense of fun helped to build an excellent team spirit amongst the group, and he was constantly organising and checking that everyone’s needs were met in a very thoughtful way.

Premium New Zealand North Island

Alexander · Traveled February 2024
It was a nice tour of a small group with many interesting destinations, activities and meals included. Our guide Wayne was really good in making a good team from our group and looking after each member. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see more of the North Island in about a week.
