Welcome to the City of Angels; a place that’s packed with more stars than the night sky and filled with more iconic attractions than you’ll know what to do with.
If you’ve landed at LAX with dreams of fame and fortune then you certainly won’t be disappointed. Not only home to the rich and famous, Los Angeles boasts a whole heap of jaw-dropping sights just waiting to be admired from the never-ending Hollywood walk of fame to the immaculate Rodeo Drive. Feeling like you’ve stumbled onto the set of a movie is completely normal and your Los Angeles tour guide will be there to help you navigate it all from knowing how to live out your childhood dreams at Disneyland to the best places to spot a celeb in their natural habitat. While it’s possible to get overwhelmed in a city that eats glitz and glamour for breakfast, our Los Angeles tours and vacations are guaranteed to have you feeling like you never want to leave (although you'll have to if you want to visit some of the United States National Parks).

Fun things to do in Los Angeles

Unleash your inner child at a theme park
Is meeting Mickey Mouse all you’ve thought about since you were a child? Does the idea of exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter make you want to whip out your wand and yell “expelliarmus” at the next person you walk past? If the answer is yes to both, then you must visit a theme park while you’re in LA. From Disneyland to Universal Studios, and from Knott’s Berry Farm to 6 Flags, Los Angeles has a theme park for absolutely everybody so sit down, buckle up and take the ride of your life, or at least your holiday.

Window shop in Rodeo Drive
Traveling to Los Angeles and not coming to Rodeo Drive is a big mistake. Huge. Not only is this street practically sparkling and perfectly manicured but it also offers the best in high-end shopping and trendy restaurants so you can recharge before looking through stores such as Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent. Situated in the ritzy suburb of Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive is 2 miles long and has been featured in numerous movies including the 1995 cult classic ‘Clueless’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ starring Eddie Murphy.

Count the stars at the Hollywood Walk of Fame
What is known as the most famous stretch of pavement in the world, the Hollywood Walk of Fame features over 2,600 stars made from terrazzo and brass, each with a name of a famous actor, musician, director, or other notable figure on them. This iconic attraction spans a massive 15 blocks along Hollywood Boulevard and was created way back in 1960 with Joanne Woodward becoming the first person to receive the coveted recognition. The Hollywood Walk of Fame has since become an LA institution and a massive hotspot among tourists craving a little bit of Tinseltown’s magic for themselves.

Get your fitness on at the Hollywood sign hiking trail
Something must balance all the delicious food you’ve been eating during your time in Los Angeles and exercising in LA doesn’t have to mean taking a Pilates class or sweating it out at SoulCycle. Why not embark on a hike that’ll deliver you right behind the Hollywood sign? Roughly taking you about 2.5 hours long, this hike is truly an unforgettable experience and will give you a birds-eye view of some of LA’s other iconic attractions. Suitable for all fitness levels, this challenging (but oh so worth it) hike is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime kind of adventure, making it one of the top things to do in Los Angeles.

Look over LA at the Griffith Park Observatory
It turns out that walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame or catching a ride on a ‘spot the celeb’ bus tour is not the only way you can see the stars in LA! Nestled right in the heart of the Hollywood hills, the Griffith Park Observatory offers numerous space-themed exhibits including the Samuel Oschin Planetarium where you can travel to the furthest corners of the universe without having to move a muscle. Completely free, this attraction also gives you a great view of downtown LA as well as the Hollywood sign making it a must-go on your Los Angeles city tour.

Visit the Santa Monica Pier
Originally built in 1909 for kids (and those who are still kids at heart), the Santa Monica Pier has become one of LA’s most beloved attractions, featuring food stalls, arcade games, concession stands, and amusement rides. A place where fun is not only encouraged but insisted upon, the pier juts into the idyllic waters of the Pacific Ocean and remains an exclamation point in the landscape of this beautiful seaside community. Take a turn on the iconic Ferris Wheel, watch the vibrant street performers, chow down on a good ol’ American hot dog and watch the sun set on this unforgettable and instantly recognizable landmark.
