Why you'll love this trip
  • Visit Zion National Park and hike the Angel’s Landing trail up to Scout Lookout to explore its dramatic switchbacks, drop-offs and incredible views.
  • Experience the iconic Virgin River Narrows hike as you walk through moving water with your leader who will help you get your “stream legs” on your way to Orderville Canyon.
  • Hike the Navajo Loop to the famous Thor’s Hammer hoodoo in Bryce Canyon National Park – known for its crimson-coloured hoodoos (spire-shaped rock formations).
  • Hike the Island in the Sky section of the vast Canyonlands National Park and take in the incredible sweeping views of the Colorado river valley 1000 feet below.
  • Sunsets are always beautiful, but nothing can beat the colours of the Delicate Arch as the sun goes down – take your time and enjoy the unforgettable scene of Arches National Park.
  • Join a Navajo guide on a guided hike through Monument Valley and learn about this incredible place from an Indigenous perspective.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Donations help them protect Grand Canyon National Park and support trail restoration, conservation of native plants and wildlife, and educational programs.

Is this trip right for you?
  • This is a walking trip so a good level of fitness will help you to enjoy it fully.
  • Walking in these national parks can be hot during summer. Therefore, some of the walks will take place very early in the morning or at sunset. Sun protection is a must, along with at least two litres of water per person and comfortable clothing suited for hiking.

What a great way to get out into the countryside and see all the arches, hoodoos, mesas and canyons of Utah (and more). The accomodation was clean and comfortable, the guide was considerate and flexible. I would highly recommend.
