Intrepid adds 10 new family trips
Intrepid adds 10 new family trips and reduces children’s pricing for 2026
October 2025
Following double-digit growth in family bookings, Intrepid is expanding its family range to offer 50 trips worldwide.
Intrepid Travel has unveiled 10 new family adventures for 2026, bringing its family range to 50 trips worldwide – one of the most extensive family adventure offerings in the industry. Travelling with an experienced local leader and three to five like-minded families, travellers can enjoy fully planned trips that feature shorter travel times, kid-focused activities and purpose-led cultural experiences, creating meaningful, hassle-free adventures for parents and children alike.
Intrepid’s family bookings have risen 15% year-on-year in 2025, reflecting the broader growth of family travel as one of the fastest-expanding sectors in tourism[1]. With the expansion of family travel being a key focus for the business, children can now enjoy 20% off the full price of Intrepid family trips, reinforcing its commitment to making family adventures more accessible and appealing. It follows new customer insights showing that Intrepid travellers prioritise value for money, creating memories and learning about other cultures when planning a family holiday[2].
Spanning four continents, the 10 new adventures include Greece, Slovenia, Turkey, India, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Ecuador, featuring authentic locally-led experiences designed to help families connect, learn about different cultures and create lasting memories together. Highlights include spotting seals, giant tortoises and pink iguanas on Intrepid’s 14-day Ecuador Amazon & Galapagos Family Holiday, stargazing from an overnight safari camp in the Serengeti on the 10-day East Africa Family Safari Comfort and rafting down the Soca River on the 7-day Slovenia Family Holiday with Teenagers.
“Family travel is one of the largest and fastest-growing segments in the industry, and we’ve seen strong growth in our family trips over recent years,” said Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel. “Too often, people think they have to wait until their kids leave home to properly travel again, but with over 50 dedicated tours and one of the most generous children’s pricing policies in the industry, we’re making it easier than ever for all types of families to explore the world together.”
“One quarter of our family travellers are single parents, and we’re also seeing intergenerational travel becoming more popular. It’s exciting to see this category evolve and to design experiences for curious travellers of all ages. Our family adventures take the stress out of planning so families can simply show up ready to explore, connect and create lifelong memories together.”
Intrepid offers family trips in its Basix, Original and Comfort styles of travel, catering to different budgets and accommodation preferences. Children can join family trips from the age of five and are eligible for the reduced children’s pricing until they turn 18. As part of this offering, Intrepid also runs ‘Teenager' trips, with active itineraries specifically designed for older children between 10 and 17 years.
Intrepid’s new family trips are available to book now, with departures from 29th March 2026. The reduced children’s pricing will apply to any family trips departing from 2026 onwards.
