Itinerary
Welcome to Canada! Your adventure begins in Toronto – the capital of Ontario, set along the lake’s northwestern shore. With soaring skyscrapers, this metropolis is known for the freestanding CN Tower, its green spaces and its sports culture. You’ll have a welcome meeting at 6 pm tonight at your hotel to meet your local leader and fellow travellers. After, maybe head out for dinner with your group and get to know each other.

It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will be collecting insurance and emergency contact details at this time. If you are going to be late, please let your travel agent or hotel reception know. Ask reception or look for a note in the lobby for more information on where the meeting will take place.
Today you’ll take the train to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Part of the UNESCO-listed Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve, the falls are also one of the honorary Natural Wonders of the World, straddling both Canada and the United States across three massive cascades. You’ll take an orientation tour with your leader, then hop on a boat to get closer to the thundering cataract – cruise past the American and Bridal Veil Falls and into the mist of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. After, have some more free time, then head back by train to Toronto in the late afternoon.

Before you book you should know
- The primary means of transportation on this trip is by train, allowing you to traverse long distances quickly, avoid traffic jam and arrive right in the city centre. The trains are comfortable and often decked out with air-conditioning, toilets, a snack bar (or vending machine) and power points. You’ll have to carry your own luggage on and off the train, as well as some short distances to the hotel (no longer than 30 minutes), so make sure it doesn’t exceed Intrepid’s weight and size recommendations. You can find details in the ‘What to take’ section of the Essential Trip Information.
1. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm on Day 1. Please make your own way to the Joining Point Hotel listed in the Essential Trip Information for this itinerary.
2. Your adventure ends on Day 10 after breakfast. There are no activities included on that day.
3. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights on your trip and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
4. We are not able to book airport shuttle service for North America trips. North America has convenient taxi and rideshare options from all airports, as well as public transport systems in major hub cities. Please check the joining and finishing point instructions listed in the Essential Trip Information.
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a third-party. The "Add connection" feature shows transit visa requirements only and does not include full entry visa needs. Please note, additional service fees apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa.
Travel and visa requirements
The style of accommodation indicated in the day-to-day itinerary is a guideline only and may change. On some occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our preferred accommodation. In these cases, we will use a similar standard of accommodation.
Throughout the trip, we request that our properties prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we're arriving prior to normal check-in time. However, this isn't always possible which means we won't be able to check-in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination or on some trips, have use of shared day rooms until all rooms are available.
