Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their adventure. Your leader will record your travel insurance details on the first day of the trip. The best time to visit Mission Beach is typically from May to November when temperatures aren't too hot and humidity and rainfall are low.

As a tropical destination, Mission Beach sees warm, dry winters and hot, wet summers. However, despite this seasonal variation, you can expect some rainfall throughout the year.

Between December and April, the warmer summer months, heavy downpours bring high humidity and warm temperatures.

Jellyfish season generally falls between October and May. During these months, it’s recommended that swimmers wear 'stinger suits' in the sea to protect themselves from possible stings.

The important things to pack for a trip to Mission Beach include sunscreen, sunglasses, swimmers and a hat.

Clothes that are breathable are a good idea as Mission Beach can be humid, even in winter.
