Wonderful trip! Mixture of big cities and quiet times. Central Europe is beautiful and this trip gives you a great opportunity to explore five countries in two weeks. Most places have a two night stay which allows you to see more without having to pack up and move. Big cities and beautiful mountains make this trip a great choice. The company supports ethical and sustainable travel which is an essential choice for tourism. Highly recommended.

Cycling is such a lovely way to see a country (or countries) and Cycling the Danube was such a great trip. Ditching the bus or train travel to get from one place to the other by bike gives you such a different perspective on a place.
Not only are you doing something wonderful for your body by exercising your way through Europe, but you see spectacular scenery, eat fantastic food and the group environment makes it so much fun.
This trip is on mostly flat surfaces (there are a variety of surfaces, so you will need to be comfortable with that) so if your butt can withstand cycling up to 6-8 hours a day, I highly recommend joining this trip.
The pace of this trip is perfect, the guide and support vehicle are always there for you, so all you need to do is keep pedalling and experience the Danube on two wheels.

Very enjoyable and informative trip! I really appreciated traveling with intrepid as I feel Eastern Europe would be difficult to navigate on my own. The countries are not as catered to international tourists as other places I have travelled to. Highly recommend this trip if you want to feel immersed in the culture and enjoy the history of Eastern Europe!

Intrepid was absolutely amazing, the group, crew leaders and activities made my holiday 1000x better. But please disregard their ‘age brackets’ as their groups are for all ages. Not just 18-35 or 30+. You’ll have age groups ranging from 18-60+ in the one group

The Balkan Adventures tour has been a great introduction to the region and its history. Had a few personal trip highlights, met some great fellow solo travellers and had a great tour guide in Miro. Highly recommended!
