Rio Carnival Experience

Sophie · Traveled February 2024
The carnaval experience in Rio was unmatched, our guide Lola was full of knowledge and pride for her home and it made the experience 100x better. I can’t wait to go back

Best of Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil

Kristy · Traveled January 2024
This stay was fantastic with the estancia experience- Juan, ranch owner, helps you interact and learn to saddle, ride and heard cattle. This is an absolute highlight and only can be booked with intrepid or groups from Berlin. The falls are great. You will need extra time in Buenos Aires and Rio or may be disappointed because the tour doesn’t allow much time in these areas at all. The trip leader was approachable, giving necessary information to select / organise optional activities. Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Transport involved a very comfortable overnight bus from Uruguay to Iguazú falls, local bus, vans etc and was safe and reasonable.

Best of Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil

The ranch stay was very authentic, loved learning to ride the horses. Iguazú falls was beautiful. Safe way to travel the 3 countries. Some long travel days but overall worth it for the experience.

Best of Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil

I had a great experience during my trip. I wish we had more time in Buenos Aires but we were really only there for one day. My favorite part was the stay at the working ranch in Uruguay. Juan and family were the absolute best hosts!

Best of Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil

Michael · Traveled January 2024
Overall satisfied with the trip although I feel the two biggest cities we didn’t really get to see and instead spent four nights in Uruguay which was clearly the cheapest option. After an overnight bus we also didn’t get to our hotel the next morning and some of the hotels were shabby and not in great condition. Tour guide was not very knowledgeable and didn’t really seem to do much other than hand out travel tickets. Overall intrepid cheaper out in my opinion and lobbed any great activities in as optional that we had to pay for.
