Australia cycling tours

Trade the street path for forest trails

Grab a helmet, adjust your seat and follow the leader out into the deep green forests and small towns of Western Australia. By donning two wheels instead of four, you’ll be able to move through a side of Australia not many get to see – its untouched wetlands, heaths and rivers. Discover the Munda Biddi Trail, known as the path through the forest, where you’ll ride through hills full of towering eucalyptus. Take in the fresh air and kick your next Aussie adventure up a gear on an Intrepid cycling trip.

Why choose us

Bikes included

Our cycling trips include bike hire. Our bikes come in a full range of sizes and are chosen to suit the terrain you'll be covering. They're serviced regularly, and any broken chains or flat tyres will be fixed by your leader. Most trips also offer e-bike hire (at an additional cost).

Small groups

Our maximum group size is 16 people, though they usually average 10. The beauty of small group travel is that you can visit out-of-the-way places and get to know the locals while enjoying a good social mix and plenty of camaraderie along the way.

Local leaders

Our locally-based leaders are all cycling junkies and undergo rigorous training to run these trips. That said, they’re still regular Intrepid leaders – meaning they know all the best local bars, restaurants and hidden spots away from the tourists.

Safety first

We run safety assessments on all our trips and our leaders are specially trained to run cycling adventures and provide basic first aid. Most of our cycling trips also have a support vehicle in case of injury, hazardous weather or road conditions – or if you’d like to give your legs a rest.

Travel that gives back

Intrepid travellers seek to leave a positive impact and give back to the places they visit. By joining a cycling trip, you’ll support our Intrepid Foundation cycling partner, World Bicycle Relief. Donations provide children, health workers and farmers in low-income communities with durable bicycles, research and mechanics training.

Leave lighter tracks

Riding a bike is good for you (even factoring in the odd Tuscan cellar door pitstop). But it’s also better for the environment. All Intrepid trips are 100% carbon offset, but a large chunk of our cycling trips are powered by the greenest energy of all: yours!
