Is this trip right for you?
  • While the pace is generally easy, there is some walking involved on this trip, with walking tours in the downtown areas of each city, as well as a walk in the caves at Halong Bay.
  • Lunar New Year is an annual festival that runs for several days. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many locals are travelling around the country. Please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.
  • Depending on where you come from, the weather in Vietnam might be hotter and more humid than what you are used to. Highly recommend this comfort tour offered by Intrepid. Its a busy few days, packed with lots of sights and history, as well as information about current day living for the vietnamese. You will not be disappointed. Fresh food, tasty and healthy. Friendly culture. You will leave tired from dodging the traffic, but energised by all the experiences and new knowledge you have learnt. I would definitely recommend Intrepid for anyone wanting an enjoyable, safe, well organised holiday suitable for their needs. Our guide was excellent and looked after us very well. His knowledge of history and culture was extensive and he explained an enormous amount about each place we visited. Nothing was too much trouble for him to do to make our experience enjoyable.
